i was so sick of school that i decided to ditch after first period. i figured that i wanted to ditch ONCE before i graduated. and no time's better than the present.
well that's not entirely true. i DID leave after first period, but it was to go to SF for my english new journalism essay. haha. did you really think i would ditch class? nah. so anyways, i hopped on BART and met up with Leslie (Wallach's friend) at her ACT office. she gave me a tour of their studios then we took MUNI to the ACT costume studio. it's pretty freaking snazzy. for those that don't know what ACT is, it stands for American Conservatory Theatre and it's a....theatre! surprise surprise. then she took me over to their main ACT theatre on Geary Street. i basically just sat in the back and watched them do a tech rehearsal. i also wandered around the theatre, checked it out backstage and stuff like that. i couldn't talk to any of the actors or the stage managers/director cuz they're getting really close to opening night and everyone's all uptight and busy.
i found out from Leslie that there's been some famous people who were graduates of ACT's MFA (masters of fine art) program. some of the people are Annette Benning, Denzel Washington, and this one person i don't remember her name but she's on Law and Order and those type of lawyer-ish shows. and one of their graduates is nominated for a Tony award. very cool.
now it's time to rant a little: i wonder what JACKASS decided to build SF on hills. hills?!?!!? that had to be the stupidest idea of his life. i had to walk from the ACT theatre to my mom's work. my mom said it would take about half an hour to walk twelve blocks. but it took me waaay longer cuz it was 12 blocks of walking UPHILL, against the WIND, and with my TWENTY POUND backpack. holy crap that sucked.
i was so tired from the day that i took a nice long hour nap from SF back to Fremont. that felt good. and now i have a shit load of hw to do. []Deace <---i think that's so cool. i stole it from matthew =D
