opening night was freaking amazing. it looks like people really enjoyed the play. so for those of you that saw it, SPREAD THE WORD!!! get your friends to come! and tell them to bring blankets and jackets cuz it's freaking freezing. especially for the actors cuz we had to wear tights. brrrrrrr.

i love my mom so much. she's so awesome. unlike some people, *cough*mydad*cough*, she stayed for the entire play. and she sat at the very top of the hill, heck of windy up there. but my mom always supported me in drama and stuff. she comes to see me even if i have like five lines. yay!

JP you rock! i saw your sign (and your camera)! i couldn't read what the sign said though cuz the lights were shining in my eyes and i wasn't wearing my glasses at the end. i felt ever so special =D.

at the end i got people coming up to me saying how great the play was. and i think that's the most rewarding complement...for people to complement not only me but the entire production. the wife of the guy who adapted the book "The Last Unicorn" into a play came last night. she came backstage later on and said she really enjoyed it especially because Unicorn is a very adult play and no high school has done it before. yay!

oh my goodness......MR.CEMBELLIN WAS IN THE AUDIENCE (he was the director for the school play when i was in eighth grade). he drove all the way up from L.A. to see the play. wow. amazing. apparently he's stopped teaching and now he's running a summer drama camp. and he gets hollywood stars to come to the camp. so very awesome. i was so surprised that he actually REMEMBERED me from FOUR years ago. i didnt' even have him as a drama teacher, but i knew him cuz he was the director of the school play that year, "Joe White and the Seven Lizards." i was Mike Video, the sports announcer for that play =D. ah, it was good to see him again cuz that play was the first on stage play i did. all the plays previous to that year were in classrooms and stuff at my private school.

thaaaaaaanks to alllllll my friends who came to see me and just the play in general. i always think drama needs more recognition. that was my first time performing in the amphitheater. it's a lot more nervewrecking than what i've done before. in the drama room it's so dark, and the lights are so bright on stage that when you come out you can't see past the stage. but out in the amphitheater you're very aware that you have an audience watching you.

it was all worth it. i don't take back all those times i've complained about practice cuz it was a pain in the ass. but man it's so worth it when you get up there =D.
