well, The Last Unicorn is finished. I'm so relieved but sad at the same time. Relieved because doing the play and school was really stressful. Sad because of the reason why i'm releived: it's all over. I'm going to miss the seniors because they won't be back for the play next year. And then everyone else in the play, the sophomores, freshmen and junior that i won't talk to again cuz our shared experience is over. it was fun while it lasted, and hopefull IF (BIG if) i do the musical next year, "Guys and Dolls," then i'll see them again.

even though last night was our very last performance it had to be one of our WORST. kind of ironic. haha. the first act was the BEST first act we ever did. it was flawless, and we had so much energy. but the second act BOMBED. there were so many mistakes the actors were having convulsions backstage. it wasn't something that the audience could notice, but it was definitely something that all the actors and Ballin noticed. it was sooo bad.

first mistake: one of the narrators said one of his lines too early. the line he said cued the sound techies for the music during the unicorn's dream, the music cued the three actors to run on stage for their part, and that cued the magician to go on stage. and alll this was too early because the dream wasn't supposed to happen until King Haggard exited and the magician entered. so Haggard had to skip his entire speech with the unicorn since he couldn't say it in front of Brendan, and he had to improvise on what lines to say. so props to Raghu for good improvisation. hahaha.

second mistake: during the last Bull scene one of the narrators forgot to go on stage. so the other two narrators on stage had to improvise and try to fill in her lines. they did a pretty damn good job of it though cuz i didn't notice until i saw the missing narrator crying backstage. eeks.

and at the end we took an extra bow...or two. hehe =D.

one of the FUNNIEST things happened that night. nicole was changing in one of the rooms backstage and the techies walked in on her half naked. all she was wearing were her bra and underwear. they all had the funniest reactions. (bryan) perry is so religious and mormon, so when he opened the door, he quickly said sorry, put his hand over his eyes, and hit the door on his head while trying to back out of the room. kunaal was walking by drinking some juicebox thing, he looks over, says, "oh sorry" all calm and cool, and continues walking still sucking on his juicebox.

afterwards the techies were all talking about the incident and nick said, "that was some nice ass." perry is so sweet, and he told nicole, "sorry for barging in on you but whatever we did see was very attractive." kunaal is so funny...just walks by sucking on his juicebox like nothing out of the ordinary just happened. funny stuff =D.

i burned the yellowcard "ocean avenue" cd. such good music =D.
