here's a funny comment some ex-ryla person left at my blog. it's kinda funny:
hey i stumbled on your xanga from other ryla kids..just wanted to say hello. im just a camper from last year and was at the bbq. its fun knowing that vince is still the hot councelor..haha he was ours when i was at camp..haha good to know its still goin. haha. youre xanga made me remember my experience..its just memorable i loved it. haha. its funny that you guys had vince stalkers like us. haha

hahahahaha. that cracked me up. i, however, would like to make a correction. i am not a vince stalker. i'm really not. every single girl at camp feels the same way about him, i just voice my thoughts. i'm not as funny as his sister cabin during mealtimes though. it's vince at the head of the table and down the line on both sides are girls, and every single one just stares and smiles at him while he talks. i always wondered if they ate =P

something weird, yet cool, happened today. i was taking my senior portraits at proimage and the photographer and i had an interesting conversation:

photographer: so how's your summer been?
me: pretty good
p: keeping busy?
me: yeah, i just got back from camp a few days ago
p: oh really? where'd you go?
me: camp ryla at camp cam...
p: oh yeah i know ryla. i went there back in the day
me: seriously? you did?
p: yeah
me: wasn't it amazing?
p: it was pretty fun
me: what high school?
p: castro valley
*snap pictures*
me: so what year did you go to ryla?
p: summer of '91...before my junior year
me: wow that's awesome. so were you in interact?
p: yeah. i was in it all...interact, key club, and leadership
me: do you remember warm fuzzies from ryla?
p: *smiles* yeah, warm fuzzies and cold pricklies...
me: yes...warm fuzzies and cold pricklies. i can't believe you remember after 13 years. wasn't everyone crying during the warm fuzzy activity?
p: yeah...it was pretty emotional
me: did you do the universe thing?
p: no... what's that
*i explain the universe thing*

wow...i thought that was so super cool. our counselors told us that throughout our life we would meet people who went to ryla and have a connection cuz ryla was such a life-changing experience. i didn't really believe it at first cuz i didn't think i could walk down a random street and someone there would have gone to ryla. but lo and behold, my senior picture photographer went to ryla. small world isn't it?
