i had my first college interview yesterday. it was with a Claremont McKenna alumni. He was a little late coming to the interview so I called Ruthann to fill the time. when i told her that my interviewer was 25 she said, "oooh...i bet he's hot." i totally didn't believe her because it was a COLLEGE INTERVIEW. the last thing on my mind was whether or not my interviewer would be hot. And lo and behold when he shows up and shakes my hand im thinking in my head, “dammit Ruthann, you’re right. He’s hecka cute.” HAHA.

Had had nice style also – this might be just for me personally, but I think it’s so hot when guys wear the express-type faded jeans and a button up dress shirt.

The fact that he was really good-looking didn’t take away from the interview though. He was easy to talk to and had a good sense of humor so it wasn’t like a cutthroat, stressful experience.

I have to say he had a really nice smile. Whenever he smiled while he was talking I thought to myself, “Wow…that is a really gorgeous smile.” And then I thought about what Ruthann would say if she saw him and I had to smile also. Thank God he wasn’t saying anything like, “my mom died so it made my college experience hard,” cuz then it would’ve made me look like an inconsiderate jackhole.

One thing I really respected and appreciated about him (and no it wasn’t his outfit) was that he looked me in the eye while we were talking. I can’t stand it when I’m talking to people and they look everywhere except AT ME. It’s really annoying. Whenever I’m having a conversation I look directly in the person’s eyes. And this guy had such a steady gaze that I had to look away sometimes cuz it got unnerving. HAHA.

Overall, i think the interview went excellently well. We were in a coffee shop in San Francisco, so it was a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. and like any interview, afterwards I kept beating myself up (not literally) about all the stuff i could've said but didn't say. it's so hard to think on the spot. like when he asked me what my favorite country artist was, i couldn't even think of it. hahaha. i guess that might be cuz i don't really have one. but even when he asked me why i didn't like president bush i totally forgot to mention how i disagreed with changing the Constitution and not joining the Kyoto pact. grrrr. all i focused on was the war on terrorism having nothing to do with sadaam hussein and all that junk. oh and at one point i sat cross-legged.....i don't know if that made a good impression or not. haha. it's a habit.

i submitted part 1 of my Northwestern application. I'm so proud of myself for clicking the purple button. WOOT =D.
