fun times last night with my favorite mark kennedy. walking around the hub, getting into shopping carts, front handsprings.......that type of thing =D. then we met up with jp and michelle at tapex.
according to mark we did a lot of one tree hill type things last night......? walking around and talking in the park. funky. i never really liked that show (sorry mark).
i was so absolutely giddy last night. i felt like i was a little kid in a candy shop. good feeling to have =D.

rejection sucks. even when you know it's coming, it still sucks.
just as bad as rejection is comparing yourself to other people. so you shouldn't do it. but when you don't feel too hot, you can't really help it. and then you feel like even more crap. it's a fucking vicious cycle.
i hate being jealous. it's a horrible feeling.
it wasn't meant to be. things will work out in the end. they always do. God has a plan for me, and this just isn't part of it. i need to accept it. He'll take care of me. He has things planned for me that i don't see...that i can't even imagine. things will be fine.
even though i know everything will work out, i'm still ticked off.
get over it. it's done. it's over. move on.
i need to go for a run.

Cast party last night at Cameron's house.....waaaay fun =D
we watched our play on dvd, which was nice because i've never actually seen some of the scenes. i have to say.....we sounded damn good, especially during "Rockin' the Boat."
at around 10pm Katy, Jordan, Dana, Sarah, Alex, Tatyana, Lindy, Justin, Heather, Stef F, Shawn, and I went cruising. We played CHINESE FIREDRILL. that game is crazy. i love it. at every red light or stop sign, one person from each car (we had four cars) has to get out and change to a new car. The driver can (but doesn't have to) get out, run around his/her car, and get back in. After we played for a few lights the drivers ended up changing cars. At one point Katy wasn't driving her car, and her car plus another one had gotten stopped by a light. So we pull into a parking lot and Katy bolts out of the car and starts running down the street screaming, "OH MY GOD! WHERE'S MY CAR?!?!" hahahahaha. hilarious.
The rules are that only one person per car gets out and switches but rules are meant to be broken so shawn and I switched at every light. hahaha. and it's always funny when the driver turns around and says, "who the hell is in my car?" or when dana's talking to the person in her passenger seat then says mid-sentence, "wait a minute....you're stephanie. you're not sarah. where's sarah?" or when Stef F. says, "holy crap. when'd you get in the backseat?! my car was empty before." and you gotta love it when Dana's screaming at a red light, "GET OUF OF MY CAR!!!!" good times.
Mormons drive crazy fast. they have a death wish or something.
i love the cast. hanging out with them makes me miss Guys and Dolls.
ah, gotta get ready for work now.

what a freaking great weekend. monday killed it. but what a freaking great weekend.
top of the world on friday....that was fun.
i went shopping on saturday (i know....shocker). i was estatically happy when i found a dress for FIFTEEN BUCKS. that totally made my day cuz up until that point i was gonna go naked on the cruise since i had nothing to wear.
i actually took about an hour and fifteen minutes to get ready for the cruise. amazing. i usually get ready in fifteen minutes, but this time i was debating between econ hw and getting ready. so i said screw econ. it was fun getting all prettied up.
the cruise was AMAZING. we were originally supposed to be on the smaller celebration cruise ship but they upgraded us for FREE because the celebration cruise colors were blue and gold and that didnt' match our black and white ball theme. and since the galaxy commodore ship was already black and white, they gave us that one. very awesome.
our district raised $38,922 for PolioPlus and $10,000 for various other charities ($8000 of which went to the tsunami releif fund). this brings our grand total to $48,922 fundraised for charities. wow. that's simply amazing. we were only a little over a thousand dollars short of our $50,000 goal. mr. cornelius (polioplus representative) was so stunned because he thought he was only accepting a check for $3000 dollars, and when we presented him the $38,922 check, he was blown away =D. i was giddy afterwards.....couldn't stop smiling =D =D =D.
the dance was way fun........especially when we took it outside. that was heck of awesome - dancing on a boat, watching san francisco pass by =D. too many times during the dance random guys would come up behind me and start freaking......it was weird cuz i wouldn't notice until someone pointed it out. that still wasn't nearly as disturbing as watching ruthann freak with the POLE and HUMP carlo. ah, that scarred me for life.
chocolate covered strawberries are good
purple ties are hot
so are silver suspenders and bowties
sf is gorgeous at night
jean was my hot date
i love interact district 5170
and now im sad cuz that was my last cruise =(

School has become so….blah. I was sitting in third period Drama today, and I suddenly realized how much I really don’t enjoy school anymore. I don’t learn anything new (well, except for Econ), and I’m so indifferent towards everything. Junior year was tough with all the homework, tests, AP studying, extracurriculars, and SAT’s…but I was learning something new everyday. It wasn’t all monotonous. It sucked, but I wasn’t bored out of my freaking skull. I feel like I’m at the point where high school can’t teach me anything else. I’ve come to view going to school as a waste of my time. I only have four and a half months left at home (as my mom is constantly reminding me), and I want to spend that time hanging out with my friends. I’ll be completely disappointed in myself if I’m home alone on a Friday or Saturday night. I need to live it up these next few months.
Screw school. I want to have a bonfire on the beach. That’d be so nice. Ah, ryla beach reunion. Good memories =D.
I’m in the mood for a ryla reunion.

guys and dolls is over. closing night was great. everyone had so much freaking energy, it was insane. and since it was closing night, everyone pulled their final stunts. techies put unwrapped condoms in a box that brent had to open on stage, the girls unexpectedly kissed the guys on stage, hotbox girls ripped off their dresses during the bow, cops ran into each other on stage.....it was all great.
random insert:
(last night while we were bowling at cloverleaf we were being so freaking obnoxiously loud. carlo was there and he came over to see if he knew any one of the people that were screaming their lungs out. in his words, "i didn't see you. i went over and all i saw was a whole bunch of white people." hahahaha.)
i'm so thankful that i've had the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful production. i've never gotten so attached to a cast. we love each other so much. now i'll just be going home after school. no more going to rehearsal at 2:45 to find Jason leading everyone in "Shout" or listening to Brent and Jason talk in song to the tune of "Luck be a Lady" or telling corny jokes that only jordan s. and jordan a. appreciate, or getting into a circle for our pre-show prayers, where we all hum and clap like the soldiers in the movie "Glory," while Alex jumps around shouting a crazy prayer.
as much as rehearsal made my life extremely hectic, i wouldn't trade the eight hour rehearsals, ballin's "brickwall-ness", or the lack of sleep for anything in the world. we've had some crazy good times together. we've laughed, cried, sang, danced, acted, set off firecrackers in the parking lot of jack in the box, taken sugar shots, played crazy drinking games at denny's, abused the techies, tailgated it in the parking lot of abeltersons at midnight, screamed our lungs out while bowling at cloverleaf, played poker backstage (well that was just the guys), and so much more. this has been a great experience. i love you Guys and Dolls cast. You all rock my socks so much, and i'll never forget any of you.

i think i overdosed on cough drops today.
from reading the back of my bag of Ricola cough drops i have discovered that cough drops have medication in them. They contain menthol, which acts as a cough supressant. go figure. i always thought cough drops just used herbs to soothe the throat. well since cough drops have medicine in them, the directions are to only take two drops every two hours.
i've had around fifteen. oops.

Effing aim. I can’t seem to stop signing on, so today I blocked everyone on my buddy list. That way, the next time I sign on, there’ll be no one to talk to. I have to stop this addiction before I become an aim whore.
To any DC people who wanna see guys and dolls: since I cut myself off from aim, just call me to let me know when you’ll be coming so that I can get you tickets.
I’ve been having coordination problems lately. I bruised my knee getting into my desk, I bruised my other knee getting out of my desk, I scraped/bruised my shin when I ran into a counter, and I bruised my arm when I tripped going upstairs to my house. What the heck is this. I hope I don’t fall off the stage during one of the performances this weekend.

ah, how i love Guys and Dolls.
Opening night (friday) was awesome. everyone had so much energy....it was great. Egg Nog gave everyone roses since it was opening night....so sweet of her. i've never gotten flowers for a performance so i felt all special =D. afterwards we (the cast) tried to go to dennys, but they didnt' want us. they couldnt' seat us all at once, so they said we might have to wait an hour. when we said it was fine, they said, "oh, but it could be an hour and a half." we still said it was okay, so they said, "well it could be even longer because those people just sat down." after that we got the idea we were unwanted, so we headed over to applebees instead. cameron got paid to drink a disgusting mix of a bunch of people's drinks mixed in with salt, pepper, tobasco sauce, and other random condiments. it was disgusting. granted, it was entertaining......but it looked like puke (and im sure tasted like it also).
last night's performance was crazy. just about everything that could go wrong, DID go wrong. the lead got injured, the microphones malfunctioned, benches were missing, lights didn't come on at the right time.....blah. the good thing is that only the cast noticed most of the stuff.
after the show the cast went to Denny's. we took sugar shots and played a hilarious drinking game that involved doing random stuff to the techies (mat shoved a dollar down nicole's shirt when she sat on kunaal's lap. HAHA), haley and courtney licking ketchup/mustard off each other's toes, dana putting a combination of tobasco sauce and mustard on her tongue (ouch....burn), karynn sticking her fingers up her nose and singing "twinkle twinkle twinkle little star," and julianne and jessica licking each other's nose and ear. we finished off the night with jason leading us in a loud chorus of "Shout." after all that, im surprised we didn't get kicked out. the manager came over a lot and told us to quiet down, but in the end we left before we could get told to leave =D. oh, and i got a nice surprise visit from carlo and jp.
jp (on the phone): steph, are you at denny's?
me: yeah, why. where are you?
jp: i just wanted to know. i'm at home. ok, thanks. bye.
me: wait no......what're you planning?
jp: nothing. i just want to know where you are
so i'm suspicious as hell cuz i know that jp is lying. five minutes later carlo calls me, and i see jp creeping around with carlo outside. hahahaha.
i don't know what im going to do with my life once Guys and Doll's is over. we have four more peformances so there's still time to check it out!!
