Thanksgiving break has been good to me so far. Lots of good food, and even more good sleep. Here are HP midnight movie premiere pictures. All of the pictures were taken in the hour and a half we had to kill before the movie started.

Inez and me. Oh, yes, as you can see I went dressed up as HP =D

Me and Tad. I look really happy in here. I couldn't help it; the excitement level was just so high. Definitely worth the four hours of sleep I got that night.

Ed and Min. Ed's trying to be Harry Potter...not bad.

Me and JoeChai

Nostril shot! It's supposed to look cool with a bunch of people, but since it was only the two of us we just look lame.

Ed's reaction to Min's fart.

Timmy with a highliter sitcking out of his cap (because he was studying before the movie started).

For most of the hour and a half, JoeChai conducted a photoshoot of Min. I think the people sitting next to us thought we were really weird...or at least thought Joe and Min were really weird. He came out with ten final pictures, but this is my favorite one. Joe: "Timmy, stand back there and look...sexy." hahaha. He looked really bizarre just standing by himself, with his hand on his head and highliter sticking out of his cap.

Ed drinking nacho cheese. GROSS. I love Joe's expression in the corner.

Ed eating the cheese.

My reaction after the movie. Simply amazing. Pure genius. To use Timmy's phrase...DAMN good movie.

Josh's reaction after the movie. I'm sure he's happy on the inside, and it's taking all of his strength to contain his excitement.

Next most anticipated movie...The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Ah, it's going to be so GOOD =D.

So, last weekend I was at a Growth in Christ Conference at the University of Delaware with InterVarsity. I took the class on Apologetics, and it was pretty intense. It was a lot more classroom time than I thought. Instead of giving me answers to my questions, they taught me how to deal with those questions. It was a lot for me to absorb one day, and I think they tried to cram too much into one day. I was definitely mentally tired by the end of the conference. I really expected to get answers to my many questions that weekend, but I actually left with more questions. In a way, I kinda wish I got some answers, but at the same time I'm glad I didn't because then it's just them telling me what to think, and I'm not thinking for myself. They just gave me the tools to answer faith-based questions and such. Right now, I'm not sure how much I took away from that weekend. I think I expected some glorious revelation of some sort...like a million lightbulbs would suddenly go off in my head, and all the pieces would fit together perfectly. Well, it's definitely not like that, and I know it's something that I have to work at. The conference partly inspired me to get those answers and do my own searching, and it partly deterred me because it showed me how much I don't know and how much work it takes to "know."

I received the schedule for self-scheduled examinations in my email the other day. Eeeks...finals are approaching.

I went shopping on Black Friday...woke up at the early hour of 6:30am to get the big sales. I'm armed with hats, scarves, gloves, and jackets, so I now feel semi-ready for winter. I was talking to Ed (a fellow NorCal friend...he's from Palo Alto) about winter, and he was just so pleasant...

FoolioABC: you think all that snow would be pleasant
FoolioABC: afterall, tahoe is nice
FoolioABC: but after 2 weeks
FoolioABC: you just want snow to die
FoolioABC: bring frosty the snowman to life just so i can kill him for being snow

Wonderful. Absolutely terrific.

My sister's new futon should be coming soon, so I have to go help her clear some room.
